Designed for patrol officers and supervisors who are trained as Field Training Officers. This class satisfies the yearly in-service requirement National CALEA and MPAC Accreditation Standards. The class is also designed for those non-accredited agencies looking to strengthen their FTO program based on best practices and yearly updated in-service training.
• Discuss teaching/coaching methods for new recruits.
• Identify methods to make documentation of written DORs more standard utilizing easy to follow formulas designed by JET.
• Discuss pitfalls to avoid in the FTO Program.
