About the event
This two day FTO-Coordinator course provides students with an understanding of the development, management, and maintenance of a law enforcement agency’s FTO program. Students will examine and use the essential forms and processes to positively impact their FTO program and agency.
Whether the role as the FTO Coordinator is a primary duty or it is collateral, this course will aid you in updating and strengthening your field training program and is certified by IADLEST as part of the National Certification Program™.

- The components of San Jose Model FTO Course, certified by IADLEST and the National Certification Program.
- Organizational Culture and Leadership.
- Forms, practices, and processes associated with the San Jose Model Field Training Program.
- Legal and Liability ramifications, trainee retention and support, termination vs. resignation .
- Coordinator’s Playbook: Take part in hands-on activities to evaluate and build your own forms and programs in class.
