About the event
This course is a blend of the San Jose FTO model and best practices of a rural and/or small department. Often times New England agencies don’t mimic the vast structure depicted in the San Jose Model and adjustments must be made. However, these can be made without losing the foundation and key concepts of the program itself. This class will provide you with the tools and knowledge to properly train a new officer. From ethics to leadership, our FTO class covers the topics needed to both train and evaluate a field trainee.
