Project CLEAR: National School Recruitment Opportunity

Stanford University’s REACH Lab is actively recruiting 60 middle and high schools nationwide to participate in Project CLEAR, a large-scale national study evaluating the evidence-based Smart Talk: Cannabis Prevention & Awareness Curriculum for students in grades 6–12.

This unique opportunity allows schools, districts, and prevention partners to collaborate directly with Stanford University on research focused on student health, awareness, resilience, and youth substance use prevention.

Participating schools will receive:

• Free access to the Smart Talk curriculum (available in English and Spanish)

• Comprehensive staff training and implementation support

• Up to $2,000 in educator/school stipends

• Student incentives for survey participation

• Free registration for school staff to Stanford REACH Lab’s national prevention conference during the 2026–27 and 2027–28 school years
  

Schools selected for participation will either:

• Begin implementing the Smart Talk curriculum during the 2026–27 school year, or

• Continue their existing programming for one year before receiving the Smart Talk curriculum the following year
  

Every participating school will ultimately receive the curriculum and training resources.
