Date & Time: Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Early Bird Registration is now open for Vermont’s annual Substance Misuse Prevention Conference, Bridging the Gaps: Prevention Through Connection. Hosted by Prevention Works!VT, this statewide gathering brings together prevention professionals, educators, youth advocates, and community partners for a day of learning, collaboration, and meaningful connection.
Designed to strengthen Vermont’s prevention network, the conference will feature practical strategies, innovative approaches, and opportunities to share ideas that support healthier communities across the state.

Participants can look forward to:
Inspiring keynote speaker: Steve Miller, a nationally recognized prevention specialist and storyteller who blends public health with creativity through music, storytelling, murals, and podcasting to elevate youth voices and strengthen community belonging.
Interactive workshops and breakout sessions led by prevention leaders and subject matter experts.
A featured workshop on youth engagement and prevention leadership with Jake White and the Vive18 team.
Networking opportunities with more than 200 prevention specialists, educators, advocates, and community partners from across Vermont.
