"Color Guard School"-By Dirigo Safety, April 2026, Rutland, VT

This course will teach students to be part of a First Responder color guard, using proper military etiquette and techniques. Students will gain the knowledge and skills to be part of a team representing their agency and community, while honoring the US Flag, through an agency color guard.

Training and professionalism is the key to a color guard unit and teams must be committed to working together. Through hands-on training and guidance by seasoned instructors, students will become proficient in marching, rifle/ax and flag handling and general color guard techniques: 3, 4 and 5-man honor guard marching, US flag presentation, uniform and gear choice and maintenance, rifle and flag movements, military drill and etiquette, planning and preparing for events.

Cost: $1000 per person
