FTO – Supervisor 

Dates: Feb-24-25, 2022

Times: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Location: Nashua , NH Fire /Rescue Station

Cost:$295 per student

FTO-SAC is a course that will provide the student with a fundamental understandingof developing, managing, and maintaining a DepartmentFTO program. Additionally,the course will provide students with an extensive leadership block that willenhance their ability to effectively supervise fieldtraining officers and recruittrainees. The course will afford students the opportunity to examine required formsand processes that will positively impact their FTO program andagency/organization. SAC Course Covers:

•Understanding of components of the FTO course and a field training programunder the San Jose Model

•Application of supervisory leadership principles applied to the supervision ofan FTO program

•Understanding of forms associated with the San Jose Model Field trainingprogram

•Understanding of legal and liability ramifications, including retention andtermination vs. resignation, related to maintaining and leading an FTOprogram

•Practical application of forms, documentation, and principles necessary todevelop and supervise a successful FTO program
