National Domestic Communications  Assistance Center (NDCAC) and Essex Police present

"Fundamentals of Modern Communication Services"

This one-day (8 hour) course was developed to enhance the beginning level learners’ awareness of modern communication platforms and how the elements can be used in investigations. Participants are guided through discussions on topics such as: how we communicate in modern society, how to utilize content from various platforms to further an investigation and best practices for preserving and collecting communications from Electronic Service Providers (ESP’s).


Course Objectives:

 Discuss how communications have evolved.

 Examine various types of communication platforms and the value of data that can be leveraged.

 Get experience with FREE, easy-to-use tools designed to assist with image analysis, searching for additional communication accounts and making sense of complicated legal process returns from specific providers.

Registration closes byJuly 8, 2025 (subject to change). Registration does not guarantee  enrollment. You will be notified of enrollment status by July 9, 2025.
